Revlon Lipsticks for Summer!

Hey beauties!

I know I haven't blogged for a while but I'm back and I'm ready for you! I have decided to blog every Friday to try and get myself into a routine for you guys so that you know where you can find me!

So I went to boots recently, having decided that I would lay off buying clothes for a while, I decided to buy some beauty items.

I didn't have a lot of money with me so this seemed like a good choice! I had heard a lot in the beauty world via youtubers, such as Tanya Burr, Zoella, Miss Glamourazzi, Fleur de Force etc that Revlon lipsticks are a good choice if you are looking for a drugstore lipstick.

So this is what I bought:

Sorry for the awful quality, I am working on my blog photography and editing so bare with me, IT WILL IMPROVE.

From left to right:

  • Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 245 Audacious- So I love this lip crayon! The colour is a pink with an orange undertone, it is very bright! Applying it the first thing I noticed is a minty smell; which appealed to me greatly! I had quite dry lips at the time, so I found that it showed the cracks on my lips quite prominently when I first swiped it across my lips. I have now discovered that the best way, for me, to apply this is by dabbing it onto the lip. The crayon applicator makes it very easy to apply mess-free. (Similar to the Clinique chubby sticks). The colour was bright and looked lovely on my skin (I am medium toned), lasting all day which made me very happy. My one problem with the colour is that it makes my teeth look more yellow- I'll be whitening them soon!
  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Shine in 828 Carnival Spirit- I would just like to say that I LOVE the name. I cannot remember who but one beauty guru had mentioned this colour and that's what drew me to it in the store. It looks bright in the tube but applies in this gorgeous orange shine that is very flatterning on my skin, especially when I have a bit of a tan! It feels really lovely and soft on my lips, it lasts quite a while but since it is a shine lipstick I did expect it to rub off quicker and therefore need re-applying more than a usual matte lipstick. I just know that this is going to be my staple lipstick for this summer!
So those are my thoughts on these gorgeous lipsticks! Tell me what your favourites are for this summer!

Trick of the trade: Deals in Drugstores
N.B. I live in the UK where the sales aren't as good as they are in places like the USA. If you do live in the US you should take full advantage of deals and couponing that is available for makeup in the drugstores; especially if you are on a budget!

FRENCH CONNECTION SHOES!!!

Okay so I thought I'd start off this post with an item I bought recently which I will DEFINITELY be wearing in the summer...

So I went on a trip with my mum and my nan, during study leave when I should have been revising, to the nearby designer outlet mall... I walked past french connection with my nan and I decided that I should go in to have a mooch because I always pick up AMAZING items in there for such good prices (they are basically steals ehe).

Imagine this; you walk into a shop and the first thing you see... "shoes from £5".
...
what.

Yep.

Naturally I start raiding through the styles and I see this pair of gorgeous heels for £15.. (they are last season but honestly I don't care because they are STUNNING)
I asked the woman if they had my size... (size 7 uk) and she said that they didn't, and that they had a 6 and they had an 8). My heart sank. But nevertheless I tried them on anyway and the "size 8" seemed to be a perfect fit. (I think she may have converted the uk to eu size wrong because they felt like a 7)

So yeah I bought them. I am not ashamed. I am proud to put these on my feet ehehehehe

They are real leather suede in this tan brown colour that will go with EVERYTHING in my summer wardrobe. Love.

Original Price: £139
Outlet Price: £95
What I Paid: £15 = 89% saving!!

Who Am I?

Hello internet!

Let's get to know me...

Who are you?
My name is Sophia and I am your average British teenager.

Why are you a "teenage bargain hunter"?
I refuse to buy items if they are full price, especially when it comes to items of clothing and beauty products! What can I say, I like to get my money's worth. Why pay £50 for one item when you can get it cheaper somewhere else, meaning you can buy multiple items?

Why did you start a blog?
I decided to share my secrets, methods and techniques with you guys! Hopefully encouraging you to start bargain hunting when it comes to buying products!

So let's start our journey together!
