Revlon Lipsticks for Summer!

Hey beauties!

I know I haven't blogged for a while but I'm back and I'm ready for you! I have decided to blog every Friday to try and get myself into a routine for you guys so that you know where you can find me!

So I went to boots recently, having decided that I would lay off buying clothes for a while, I decided to buy some beauty items.

I didn't have a lot of money with me so this seemed like a good choice! I had heard a lot in the beauty world via youtubers, such as Tanya Burr, Zoella, Miss Glamourazzi, Fleur de Force etc that Revlon lipsticks are a good choice if you are looking for a drugstore lipstick.

So this is what I bought:

Sorry for the awful quality, I am working on my blog photography and editing so bare with me, IT WILL IMPROVE.

From left to right:

  • Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 245 Audacious- So I love this lip crayon! The colour is a pink with an orange undertone, it is very bright! Applying it the first thing I noticed is a minty smell; which appealed to me greatly! I had quite dry lips at the time, so I found that it showed the cracks on my lips quite prominently when I first swiped it across my lips. I have now discovered that the best way, for me, to apply this is by dabbing it onto the lip. The crayon applicator makes it very easy to apply mess-free. (Similar to the Clinique chubby sticks). The colour was bright and looked lovely on my skin (I am medium toned), lasting all day which made me very happy. My one problem with the colour is that it makes my teeth look more yellow- I'll be whitening them soon!
  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Shine in 828 Carnival Spirit- I would just like to say that I LOVE the name. I cannot remember who but one beauty guru had mentioned this colour and that's what drew me to it in the store. It looks bright in the tube but applies in this gorgeous orange shine that is very flatterning on my skin, especially when I have a bit of a tan! It feels really lovely and soft on my lips, it lasts quite a while but since it is a shine lipstick I did expect it to rub off quicker and therefore need re-applying more than a usual matte lipstick. I just know that this is going to be my staple lipstick for this summer!
So those are my thoughts on these gorgeous lipsticks! Tell me what your favourites are for this summer!

Trick of the trade: Deals in Drugstores
N.B. I live in the UK where the sales aren't as good as they are in places like the USA. If you do live in the US you should take full advantage of deals and couponing that is available for makeup in the drugstores; especially if you are on a budget!
